Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka has shown amazing performance so far in Asia Cup 2014 which has taken them to final. Sri Lanka won all four matches against Bangladesh, Afghanistan, India and Pakistan. Pakistan just lost 1 match to Sri Lanka by 11 runs and won other three matches. Against Bangladesh they chased massive target of 327 runs. While against India they got exciting victory in last over.

In both matches Shahid Afridi show extra-ordinary performance with the bat which made Pakistan win. So in the final Pakistan batsmen and bowlers both will have to perform well as a unit. In fielding department they will have to show good performance. Against Bangladesh their fielding was below average.

Sri Lanka spinner Ajantha Mendis has become the leading wicket taker in Asia Cup despite playing only 3 matches which shows he is in brilliant form and can be real danger for Pakistani batsmen. Pakistani batsmen will have to play him sensibly. Malinga will also be a key bowler for Sri Lanka in the final.

Pakistan would want its fast bowlers to support its spinners in stopping Sri Lankan batsmen from getting a big total. Against Bangladesh Pakistani bowlers given plenty of runs due to poor bowling without proper line and length.
