New Zealand Vs West Indies 1st Test 3rd December 2013

West Indies Is on tour of New Zealand after a long time. Both teams are set to play 3 tests, 5 ODIs and 2 T20 matches. 1st Test will be taking place on Tuesday 3rd December 2013 in Dunedin, New Zealand. Brendon Mccullum is test captain for New Zealand while Darren Sammy is captain of West Indies.


New Zealand has got many new players except Mccullum, Taylor and Southee. On other hand West Indies squad is a mixture of new and old players. Narine, Sammy, Bravo, Samuels, Best, Chanderpaul are experienced players in West Indies squad while gives it edge over New Zealand however NZ is having home advantage.

New Zealand team will be under pressure as they have recently lost series to Bangladesh so they will be looking to perform better at home. On other hand West Indies has arrived in NZ after losing Test and ODI series from strong Indian team at their home.

Spinner Sunil Narine and fast bowler Tino Bets can prove to be real challenge for young Batsmen of New Zealand. Brendon Mccullum and Ross Taylor will have to play with responsibility for NZ.
