Pakistan Wins ODI Series Against South Africa For First Time

Today Is a historic day for Pakistan Cricket as Pakistan Cricket Team has defeated South Africa In a ODI series for the first time. Till now Pakistan lost all the series that It played against South Africans either at home or away. On Wednesday 27th November Pakistan defeated South Africa in second ODI match of the three match ODI series by just 1 run and won the series by 2-0. It is also first time that a Asian team has won a series against South Africa In South Africa. India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan were not able to do it before.

On a rainy day South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl first. Match was shortened to 45 overs for each team due to delay in start of match due to rain. Pakistan scored 262 runs in 45 overs playing first. Ahmed Shehzad scored 102 runs on 112 balls. Sohaib Maqsood and Umar Akmal scored 42 runs each. While chasing target of 263 South Africa was able to made 261 runs and lost the match by 1 run. Hashim Amla made 98 runs on 131 balls. Captain A de Villiers scored amazing 74 runs on just 45 balls.

In last over South Africa needed 9 runs to win but Junaid Khan bowled very Impressively and restricted them to 261 runs.

One ODI is left in this series that will be played on 30th November in Centurion. Pakistan will be trying to do white wash by winning this match as well.
