Pakistan Wins The Asia Cup 2012

Pakistan Cricket team has won the Asia Cup for second time in its history on Thursday after beating Bangladesh in the final by 2 runs after a thriller.  Pakistan's Batsmen performed poorly even today and set a target of only 236 runs for the host Bangladeshi team. Sarfraz Ahmed was top scorer with 46.

but Pakistani bowlers performed very well and contained Bangladesh to 234 in 50 overs for loss of 8 wickets and won the match by 2 wickets. Aizaz Cheema got 3 wickets including wicket of Shakib Ul Hassan. 

On last ball Bangladesh needed 4 runs to win but Bangladeshi Batsman Shahadat Hussain failed to hit a boundary. Shahid Afridi was declared man of the match while Tamim Iqbal became man of the series.
